Laying down the piece of sheet metal. I've already scribed the line and put down some tape to keep the jigsaw from scratching it.

The chunk of steel: 36"x48". It's about 30 gauge for thickness.

What I'm using to cut the metal. If I had a brake to cut it that might be a better edge.

All cut out. 12" wide and 48" long. Probably the smallest aspect ratio to twist into a Moebius strip. I took a file to the cut edge. Mostly to clean it up. It didn't take much thank goodness.
